  1. Please tell about your current company and role

I am working with WIPRO Technologies Pune as a Business Analyst. I am part of Performance Engineering practice. My role includes technical pre-sales activity and Consulting in area of Performance Engineering and Testing services provided to clients by Wipro across the globe.

  1. Please provide some Information about  your current domain

I am a part of Performance Engineering Practice which covers various verticals (Domains). So for me it’s more of techno-business practice rather than any specific domain. Performance Engineering encompasses set of activities across the SDLC to ensure that the software meets the defined performance requirements in the production environment. Performance Testing is part of Performance Engineering and involves validation of parameters such as system responsiveness, stability under workload, scalability, reliability, resilience and resource usage.

  1. Please elaborate some Required skill set for above domain

The knowledge of system and business process is the key. You also need to have good experience in software development and testing to understand Performance Engineering well. It aligns with SCIT’s specialization of System and Software Solutions Management.

  1. Could you tell us about Roadblocks ahead and solutions when working in above domain

I have almost 3 years of experience in IT services industry and have done my internship in Cummins in area of Software Performance Engineering which helps me a lot to learn the basics of Performance Engineering quickly. Fortunately I have good excellent team which helps me a lot whenever I face any roadblocks. Moreover, while doing MBA in SCIT, I have developed effective ways to handle business problems. “Experience” is the greatest teacher though!!
