For 21-year-old Riya, life had constantly been a roller coaster ride right from childhood days to completing her graduation with flying colors. It all started the day she entered as we know the “Big Bad World” being a premature child, time and again proving herself in order to constantly fight against all odds for survival in spite of physical deformities.
At a tender age of 10, the grief of losing her parents was overwhelming, but she channelized her energies on her life goals and enriching others’ lives for the betterment of their future. Today she has emerged to stand up on her own feet, starting an entrepreneurship firm which educates students as well as guides them for a better living.
Just like Riya, today, every individual constantly aims at being successful in life. Some might define success as having a luxurious car, a huge mansion with all the royal amenities whereas others consider life full of joy and happiness with their beloved ones. I believe the latter is indeed the true essence of success. Growing up, we have been constantly nurtured to be the best at the task at hand to be on par with increasing competition, but there are always inevitable surprises that come along the way because
“Life is what happens to us when we are busy making other plans “.
As rightly quoted by renowned industrialist Mr. Ratan Tata “Ups and Downs in life are very important to keep us going because a straight line even in an ECG means we are not alive.” One should always be thankful for all the ups and downs that make life worth living. It totally depends on how we take it, whether to be knocked down by the negative things or look forward to positive opportunities that lie ahead of us. Therefore, the “good” and the “bad” circumstances in life do not define our life, rather these life moments are just small fragments of a much larger picture.
