And the wait is over!
The entire team of TEDxSIUHinjewadi proudly lifts the veil to announce the theme of its 7th edition – ‘The Treasure Within‘.
So, What TEDx is all about?
TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
The quality of listening is really required to be a great speaker and TEDx a platform that brings both speakers and listeners to one ground to share and grab the ideas that lie within.
With the same aim and objective, the 7th edition of TEDxSIUHinjewadi 2021 was organized & hosted by Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology, Pune, a constituent of Symbiosis International University, as an initiative by iTELF committee under the guidance of our Faculty Mentor Prof. Apoorva Kulkarni.
The vision and mission of the event is to bring out the best talent, thought and ideas that denotes the theme “The Treasure Within”.
The Event covers the complete set of speakers from different domains of knowledge like technology, design, core science, mental health and space mining.
Health, mind and self-resilience was the most important part of the event that says “It’s all about a discussion and everything will be sorted.”
Our mighty speakers:
All 5 speakers shared wisdom. They are the ones that don’t need an introduction.
Asmita Marwa is an Indian fashion designer, rated by Vogue as one of nine top up-and-coming international designers. Her eclectic and vibrant fuse of the traditional with the global is impeccable.

“It is said that art is another form of treasure we hold”.
To unleash the secret of various art forms we also had 3 exceptional art performances that have given us a great gesture of the treasure within.
And, when people of various genres come together, it’s truly a worth living experience.
Nikhil Raj explores the world of magic and blurs the boundary between illusion and reality for more than a decade. Rightly said- Illusion is the new reality! And he is the master in maneuvering human perception.
Mr. Harshil Bhandari is a passionate artist, who loves to try new forms of art. Charcoal sketching, pastel sketching, flame painting, coffee painting, sculpturing, chalk carving, soap carving, candle carving, clay modelling, collage, mosaic, caricature, digital art, are all he’s mastered at.
Aditya Neela is a gold medalist for Indian light vocals in the year 2017. Hindustani classical music is in the veins of our musicians. And Aditya has been learning Hindustani classical music for the past 10 years. He has been a part of Hon. PM, Shri Narendra Modi sir’s campaign, ‘local for Diwali”.
These were the artists who brought their mesmerizing art before us.
So, the theme revolves around the idea of discovering the value of something that is yet to be discovered or something that is overlooked for a while.
How can we utilize our true potential to unleash the treasure within us? How can we focus on ourselves to find the hidden gold?
To tackle this and much more, TEDxSIUHinjewadi presents before you-
“A class of speakers from assorted backgrounds, interests, and perspectives.”
Congratulations to the Faculty Mentor, Prof. Apoorva Kulkarni and the whole TEDx team for all the hard work and efforts.
Let’s hear it out from the below poem, the whole existence of the theme ‘Treasure within’.
It’s quiet and humble
It’s simple and fumble
It’s like tenants on our own land
It’s like holding sand,
inside that beautiful soul
Where words are simply hidden
Emotions are described as a riddle
Responses are less
Creativity is blessed
Foreshadowing of art
it just got a place in my heart.
Painting that forgotten spot
the beauty of that chaotic madness caught
Hiding those paintings all along
Hiding those brushes for so long
Hiding those poems
Hiding those songs untold
Hiding behind that dance floor
It’s not hidden all alone
It’s just not known
not known to the world
but you know how it turned
and Transformed you like being searched by another seeker
Your riches were restored
Why it always get exposed??
because treasure within you is disclosed.
-Shubhi Vashistha
The entire lineup of speakers and performers was the epitome of knowledge. Everyone had different colours of wisdom, different stories to tell and a lesson to teach.
We feel so honoured and rewarded and it can only be concluded with a beautiful saying:
“एक ही बात सीखी है रंगों से, अगर निखरना है, तो बिखरना ज़रूरी है |”
